Sunny weekend expected after midweek rain in Lithuania

Lithuania will see sunny and dry weather this weekend following a rainy midweek, according to the country’s Hydrometeorological Service.

Forecaster Simona Dalinkevičiūtė told LRT Radio that while Wednesday and Thursday will bring rain—particularly in western regions—conditions will improve by Friday. Wind gusts of 15–17 m/s are expected in many areas, with daytime temperatures reaching 10–15°C.

Rain will persist into Thursday, with overnight lows of 1–6°C and daytime highs of 7–13°C. Winds will gradually weaken. Friday will mark a shift to high-pressure dominance, bringing a mix of residual nighttime showers and sunny, dry daytime conditions. Temperatures will range from near 0°C at night to 9–14°C during the day.
