Dead woman and suspected narcotics found in Klaipėda flat

A 22-year-old woman has been found dead in a flat in Klaipėda, Lithuania, with suspected narcotics also recovered at the scene, police said on Sunday.

Officers responding to a call at about 15:00 on Theatre Street found the body of the woman, born in 2004, inside a flat. A preliminary examination indicated no signs of external violence, police reported.

During the search of the flat, officers discovered a box and a bag containing substances resembling drugs. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of death and whether there was any unlawful handling of narcotic or psychotropic substances without intent to distribute.
