A 46-year-old Belgian-Jamaican woman has been charged with public order offences and inciting hatred based on race, gender, and skin colour after an altercation at a Vilnius ski centre, the Lithuanian Prosecutor General’s Office announced on Thursday.

The Vilnius District Prosecutor’s Office has referred the case to Vilnius City District Court following a pre-trial investigation. According to prosecutors, the woman—currently residing in Lithuania—visited the Liepkalnis ski centre last February, where a dispute arose over ticket prices and refunds.

Investigators allege she behaved aggressively, forcing her way into staff areas, shouting at employees, and ignoring requests to calm down. She is accused of using derogatory language, mocking staff, and inciting hatred on the grounds of their skin colour, gender, and race. The confrontation only ended when police arrived.

Prosecutors state that the woman recorded the incident on her phone, including her own statements and the centre’s employees. Later that evening, she reportedly shared the footage on Instagram, accompanied by text that allegedly ridiculed and encouraged hatred toward the staff based on their race, gender, and skin colour.

The woman has denied the charges. One individual has been recognised as a victim in the case. The trial will proceed in Vilnius City District Court.
