Man found dead in Klaipėda, suspect detained

A man was found dead in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda on Wednesday evening, with police detaining a suspect in connection with the killing, LRT reports.

The body of a 67-year-old man was discovered in a room along Šilutės Highway, according to the Police Department. Authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into the homicide.

A 38-year-old suspect, described as intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 2.86‰, was apprehended and placed in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
